We apologize for the late notice but we just received word about the deadline as well as a new homeowner application form for trees. To apply for a tree for Spring 2009 please download the form from on our website located at:
http://phillytreepeople.googlepages.com/ and send it in to Philly Tree People asap.

Please note that YOU should KEEP the LAST 2 PAGES of the application form for your records - please return only the first two pages of the form to PTP via email, mail,
fax or drop off.

Philly Tree People is dedicated to helping people get trees, and maintaining those trees in our neighborhood. We are a small volunteer organization run by three neighborhood gals. Please help us maintain our commitment to excellence. We strongly urge you to make a donation of $30 per tree requested to help offset costs associated with planning tree plantings and the subsequent maintenance of trees. Your donation will keep our group moving forward and allow us to continue planting trees in your neighborhood. We can’t do it without you. We can’t do it without your donation. Please send your donation in with your applications and make your checks payable to Philly Tree People.

Now Accepting Tree applications for Spring 2009

We have two upcoming Tree Plantings one in Fall 2008 (we are no longer accepting applications for Fall 2008) and one in Spring 2009. We are now accepting applications for Spring 2009. (We have no deadline yet but you should get your request in as soon as you can.)

The Fall Tree planting is full - please read if you sent in your application

If you submitted a request already - we will get back to you as soon as we can - please be patient - we've received over 100 requests - some of which will have to wait until Spring 2009 - we will let you know if you will be in the Fall or Spring batch. Please note that you will be notified of the fee asap). Through the Tree Vitalize program the trees in the Fall 2008 will not cost the homeowners, however the Philly Tree people is requesting donations.

We're now requesting applications for Street Trees

We are planning a Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 street tree planting. The form is available in several formats on our website at: http://phillytreepeople.googlepages.com/

Please return completed forms by the due date: Saturday, April 19, 2008.
(Please note: If faxing your form the fax deadline is 3 PM Friday, April 18, 2008.)

Only homeowners can request that a tree be planted - you cannot request a tree on behalf of someone else. Please note that you will be notified of the price (probably around $30-$40) and whether or not you have been approved for the Spring or Fall planting as soon as we know.

We're hoping to plant up to 100 trees in the Fall and we will need lots of volunteers. We don't know when the trees will arrive and won't know the planting date until the Fall.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help plant. We'll be adding a few more thank yous to our web site's thank you page. We had around 100 people or maybe a few more come out and help plant 72 trees today. You are all awesome.

(We have 1 missing stake pounder, one missing red and black bag with tools in it and 2 trees went missing. If you happen to spot these in your truck or car please return these to us - we borrowed the tools and will have to pay to replace them. The stake pounder is ours - brand new and we used money donated to us by folks like you to buy it . Somehow two trees went missing today - if you happen to know anything about them please contact us.)
